Kellee Joost, Stacy Nigrelli and Julie Mayer founded Integrative Pet Care in 2005 after personally experiencing the lack of holistic veterinary and post-surgical physical rehab services in Chicago. Dr. Mayer was one of a handful of veterinarians practicing rehabilitative and holistic veterinary medicine and the demand for her services was increasing rapidly. Pet owners and businesswomen with extensive experience in operations, product development and marketing, Nigrelli and Joost had first-hand knowledge of this lack of rehabilitation resources after their dogs' knee surgeries. The three joined forces to fill the void and established a facility that operates through the expertise of veterinarians, business professionals and pet owners. Since then, Integrative Pet Care has grown to 17 staff members including three veterinarians, four animal rehabilitation therapists, two prescribing therapists with human physical therapy experience and a team of people dedicated to operations and patient services. By integrating an experienced staff, state-of-the-art equipment, a facility designed exclusively for rehabilitation and a passion for getting your pet back on his paws again, Integrative Pet Care helps improve your pet's recovery from injury or surgery; accelerates healing and prevents future injury.We also offer pain management and alternate options to treat chronic illnesses.
