Patient of the Month

Beanie - May 2023

"I initially brought Beanie to IPC in August of 2022 when I noticed that she wasn’t moving the way she used to. I knew she was compensating for her missing back leg and it was starting to take a toll on her. I wanted to build her strength and get ahead of any issues she is destined to face later in life as a tripod.

In February of 2023, Beanie tore her ACL in her only back leg and had to have corrective surgery. I was so glad that both Beanie and I had established roots at IPC prior to her injury. I knew we could rely on the support of Dr. Martin, Brooklyn and everyone at IPC to get us through a difficult recovery. Less than a month after surgery, she was back on her feet and begins hydrotherapy soon!"

"I’ve seen so much improvement in Beanie’s posture, her stamina, and her confidence. She goes for longer walks, has more energy to play, and will jump up on her back leg. I can’t wait to see the dog she will become once she has fully healed from her knee surgery."

-Sarah, Beanie’s mom
